Lake Czos and the promenade – the showcase of Mrągowo – beaches, an observation tower and a pier
Lake Czos in Mrągowo features a promenade leading from the causeway on Wojska Polskiego Street to the Spring of Love. We recommend starting your tour with a visit to the observation tower and beach at the Grunwaldzkie housing estate. Then, it’s worth starting your walking tour from the pier, located near the historic town hall. From there, head towards the municipal beach and amphitheater. Along the way, you’ll find Lotników Square, where you can stop for a rest. A little further on, just before the municipal beach in Mrągowo, lies a bridge over the Dajna River. The beach offers interesting places to relax, as well as a children’s playground and volleyball and basketball courts. A short distance further is the hotel beach, and just beyond it is the amphitheater – a venue for popular events. For those who enjoy longer walks, we recommend heading about 1.5 km further to the Spring of Love. The promenade on Lake Czos is an interesting route for a walk or a short bike ride.

Mrągowo is known throughout Poland as a city of festivals, the most recognizable of which is the Country & Folk Picnic. Another popular event is the Masurian Cabaret Night. The new amphitheater opened in 2012. The latest modification was the construction of a roof. It is picturesquely situated on Lake Czos and offers beautiful views of the city skyline. A restaurant is located beneath the stage.
